Day 241

Today was a day spent down memory lane. Aunt Terri and I took pictures of grandma's dolls today. We did quite a few of them, but hardly even touched the pile up. The rest will just have to wait for another day. I think the 60 we did will give us a good start on the project.

Day 240

My first semi-cheat day. I used my phone to take the only picture today. I just couldn't resist when I saw OC giving daddy knuckles on the computer screen. It was pretty cute, and there was no way I was making it to find the camera and get it out in time. That is what camera phones are for..., isn't it?!

Mmmmm....Chocolate is so good....and aunt Katie and uncle Andrew are big suckers for me :)

O'rien was hard at work with his semi-truck. Trying to be a little like daddy to fix things up, and a little like grandpa to drive the semi.

A little peek inside my oven. It was filled up twice with this yummy Friendship bread. I know I was suppose to pass the bags on, but who was I really going to pass it on to? I mean does anyone really want to keep passing it along, and making it every 2 weeks. That seems like too much work. So, now the freezer will just be stocked up for a while with Friendship bread, and when we want more that is what google is for.

Day 236

Merry Christmas! Look what Santa brought for our special little elf. He loved it and wanted to open all his presents while sitting in it. He tried to stuff all the toys in the floor board...oh and a bunch of candy too. It was a fun Christmas morning, but definitely not the same without daddy.

Day 235

Opening Christmas presents from Great Grandma and Grandpa Yohn. I love the facial expression. We had a small Christmas Eve at our place for the Yohn great grandparents, but unfortunately only grandma came. We made the best of it, and I think O'rien enjoyed it. This was his introduction to Thomas the train. That is the book that he is unwrapping so excitedly.

Day 234

Cookie making day. Well, and a cake for Christmas. These were all the ingredients I had lined up. I think I should have stuck to a few less treats, since I was trying to cram them all in before Christmas. At least they all tasted good.

Day 233

I had my lights set up downstairs, so I was playing around with them tonight. I got a few quick shots of O'rien in his pajamas before I put him to bed. The dogs seemed to sneak into a few also.

Day 232

I took O'rien to JJ Jump for the first time today. He had a lot of fun going down the slides and bouncing around. He wasn't too sure about jumping alone, and the slides were a little too steep for him to climb, but he liked it.

Day 231

My sleepy dogs are definitely best friends. They were curled up like this together on their little blanket tonight. I promise I didn't pose them. I guess they are just starting to think alike from all the time they spend together.

Today we took more baby Kyler pictures. It was too hard to pick just one favorite, so this one happened to be out of random chance from the collection.

Ryan was showing off his money stash at his birthday party. We all told him we were going to take it of course....or we offered to have him buy us all breakfast. We thought that sounded like a fair trade, too bad he wasn't going for it.

We got another Christmas gift in the mail today. It was from the Neumann family. They sent us this cool family Bingo game, and a prize bag to go with it. Can't wait for family game night!

Day 227

Poor Maci looks so upset. Do keep in mind that she was teething this day (so I really am not that mean of a babysitter), but nevertheless O'rien saved the day and came to her rescue. The two of them started to play with the toys, and she soon forgot that she was upset for having to play instead of being held.

Day 226

Opening the first Christmas present of the season. Thanks Jones family! O'rien had so much fun opening his gifts.

A little TV action for O'rien. I couldn't get him to look at me. He was fixed on the screen, and uninterested in anything else.

Day 224

Tonight's craft was a Christmas wreath. It was made out of these strips of paper and stapled onto a wreath form. Not as easy as the box made it seem to be. The staples weren't holding to the styrofoam, so the papers kept falling off of it. At least the hard work paid off, because the wreath turned out cute. I just had to hang it and not touch it though. I think if it gets touched the papers might come falling off. Good thing it was a cheap $3 project, and I didn't even actually buy it.

Day 223

Today we took a day trip to the beach. We went to Seaside, then headed down to get some Moe's, and made our final stop at the Tillamook Chesse factory. It was a pretty gloomy day, but we made the best of it and had fun. On the drive home I took the back highway, and was very thankful we made it home. We had a good scare, when a deer ran out into the road, and I barely saw him. I had to slam the breaks quickly, steer the car into the opposite lane, and just hope we missed each other. I think the car came about 5 feet from an accident. Very thankful for my vision and my good breaks, even in the rain with a very minimal stopping distance.

Day 222

O'rien was reading his Dora book that Grandma got for him. He loves to push the buttons on it, but he also loves to flip pages in books like he is actually reading them.

Day 221

Tonight was Zoo Lights. We checked out all the lights, and rode the train.

Day 220

Tonight we went downtown to see Santa at Macy's. O'rien wasn't too sure about him, but at least he didn't cry. He just gave Santa the stare down. So no good picture with Santa this year. I guess that happens some times though. After we saw Santa the kids played in the old train car, watched the Christmas train, and looked at the reindeer display. After we finished we walked over to see the big Christmas tree in Pioneer Square, and headed out for some Rockbottom and Voodoo doughnuts.

Day 219

I took Michelle, O'rien and Maci up to Multnomah Falls today. We took the historic highway to get there, and stopped a few places along the way. This is Wahkeena Falls.

I was admiring my Christmas tree today. Thought I would take a picture of one of my favorite ornaments on the tree. This one came from Old Navy a few years ago.

Time to decorate. The kids both decorated the tree for me this year. Well, O'rien attempted, but as you can see his all ended up resting on the branch in the same spot.

Christmas tree hunting! We found the perfect tree, and took Michelle to her first Christmas tree farm. We had a good time, and the weather managed to cooperate in our favor. Plus we found a steal of a deal for a $15 tree this year.

Today we got an out of town visitor. Michelle flew in from Vegas to stay with us for a while. These are her shoes sitting by the door.

Today I used my studio lights, for only the second time. I took pictures of baby Kyler. He is only a few weeks old.

O'rien made this mess all on his own. He thought it was pretty cool. Titan didn't mind it as he slept through the chaos that was going on around him.

O'rien was playing with Penny. We tried to get a good picture of them, but not really any luck. Too much curiosity from them both. When we left there, O'rien said his first sentence. He said "Doggy go nuh night". He is getting so big, so quickly.

Happy Thanksgiving. We had a good thanksgiving day over at my aunts house. Then a little midnight Christmas shopping.

Daddy sent me pretty roses today. I taught O'rien how to smell them.

We actually had a little snow today. Not enough to go and play in, but a few flakes stuck to the ground.

Rhayn and Abby made stove top popcorn tonight. I don't think they ended up eating much of it, but they had fun making it. Diesel really wanted to try it though.

Today O'rien and I went to Cole's first birthday party at the firehouse.

O'rien got a new toy from Kohl's today. Grandma bought him a Dr.Seuss stuffed animal. He picked it out off the shelf, but really wanted to take them all off the shelf instead of just one.

O'rien was having a pretty serious phone conversation...even if it was with himself.

I made Rhayn take a silly picture tonight before bed time. I put her hair all crazy on the bed and then stood over her to take the picture.

O'rien was playing with Rhayn's 3D movie glasses. He is such an accessory kid. He thought it was a pretty fun game to put them on and take them back off.

Today Katie and I did our first Dragonfly paid shoot. We went to Pittock Mansion. We took snap shots of each other afterward, so we could always remember our first shooting day. Hopefully there will be many more of these days to come in the future.

Tonight we went to my parents house. O'rien was eating Cheez Its, so I decided to take a picture from inside the bag. It was the only picture I took today.
